Deconstructing Chaturanga
Workshop

Saturday February 28

Blossom Yoga & Pilates Studio

Chaturanga Dandasana is a foundational pose in flow yoga, linking Plank to Cobra or Upward-Facing Dog. While it appears frequently in vinyasa classes, Chaturanga is a demanding, full-body posture—not just an arm and shoulder exercise. When practiced without proper awareness or alignment, it can place excessive strain on the shoulders and increase the risk of injury.

In this educational and experiential workshop, Ahna will break down Chaturanga step by step, highlighting the key muscle groups that must be awakened and engaged to support the pose safely and sustainably. Through fun, accessible drills, you’ll gain new insight into full-body integration, strength, and control.

You’ll explore practical tips, modifications, and variations that help balance strength with intentional alignment—tools you can immediately apply to your personal practice and confidently carry into vinyasa classes for years to come.
